about
Finding Serenity was born from a moment of inspiration in the midst of chaos. During the COVID lockdown, when the world felt uncertain and still, my friend Yimika sent me a poem late one night. As I read it, I felt goosebumps her words deeply moved me. and I couldn’t shake the feeling that it needed to be visually expressed.I shared the poem with my friends Fed and Deniyi, and we immediately knew we had to bring it to life. One line stood out to me: "Maybe you can find some peace in chaos." That phrase became the foundation of the film. I’ve never been comfortable with the beach I dislike the sand but I’ve always been drawn to the ocean’s calm. That contrast, discomfort versus tranquility, mirrored the emotions we wanted to capture. This project pushed me beyond my own discomfort to create something meaningful. Finding Serenity is a reflection of how beauty can emerge from uncertainty, and how inspiration often finds us when we least expect it. Even in chaos, peace is possible we just have to be willing to seek it.
